Check out the latest installation in our Investor Chats series. This session, we had the pleasure of talking with Jay Patel, an investor with a global education and work experience.
Jay Patel refuses to believe business and policy can’t work in harmony to create a better world for all. He has 9+ years across venture capital, private equity, strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation and economic policy and an MPA from London School of Economics, M.S. from University of Notre Dame, B.S. from Indiana University. He currently works at American Family Insurance out of Madison, WI.
One of the key takeaways from the conversation is getting multiple data points as a founder. These data points can arise from any interactions with investors and customers. Get in front of investors as much as possible whether that's to ask for help/support, practice pitching, and actually pitching as often as you can.
Check out the video to learn more about Jay's experience as a VC, growing up in the midwest but studying and working abroad as well as what social impact investing means.
